The "Striped Chinese" was originally designed for Bohus Stickning by Emma Jacobsson in the mid-1940s. 

The knitting kit for this design was developed in 2022 from original charts and garments held in museum collections and is recreated as pullover with patterned front, hat and mittens.

This design is knitted in our light natural gray, mottled wool yarn spun from New Zealand merino lambswool. NZ No. 2. Some of the yarns contain a small amount of wool from Gotland fur sheep from England, which gives the yarn a mottled look. The yarns are spun in Denmark at Henrichsens Uldspinderi and carefully dyed in for each knitting kit to authentically replicate the original yarns for design. The gray mottled yarn for of the base garment is naturally gray and has not been dyed. Pattern yarns, unless the base color in any other design, are hand-dyed by Pernille Silfverberg.
