”Schack Vit” och ”Schack Röd” designades ursprungligen för Bohus Stickning av Kerstin Olsson 1965.

The knitting kit for this design was developed in 2022 from original charts and garments held in museum collections and is recreated as pullover with standing collar and as hat. 

This design is knitted on light natural gray base NZ no. 2 or red orange base NZ no. 57 in our wool yarn spun from New Zealand merino lambswool. Some of the yarns also contain a small amount of wool from Gotland fur sheep from England, giving a mottled look. The yarns are spun in Denmark at Henrichsens Uldspinderi and carefully dyed in for each knitting kit to authentically replicate the original yarn for design. Pattern yarns, unless the base color in any other design, are hand-dyed by Pernille Silfverberg.
